We found that the onboard charger is measuring an irrational voltage on the proximity pin. This typically occurs when the proximity pin is dirty. Since you do not experience issues charging with other devices, we can assume the dirt is located inside of the charge handle, not the charge port.
To resume charging we recommend you follow these simple steps:
- Turn off the circuit breaker installed upstream the unit
- Keep it off for 5 minutes
- Turn it back on and wait until the Wall Connector shows a solid light
- Press and hold the handle button for 5 seconds
- You can now proceed with the next steps:
• Perform a visual inspection of the inside of the charge handle
• Take a "before" picture of it
• If dirt is on the face of charge cable, wipe it off with a clean rag.
• If dirt is inside of the terminals:
• Open the AC breaker upstream to the Tesla wall connector, to de-energize it.
• Clean the pins with a 99 % isopropyl alcohol soaked cotton swab
• Allow to dry completely, or use compressed air to dry
• Inspect terminals for cleanliness.
• Take an "after" picture of it
• Attempt charging again
