Hyundai Motor Group is developing the dedicated 800V rapid recharging system, so that the inconvenience of charging a electric vehicle will be dramatically reduced by the introduction of this revolutionary technology.
With the 800V rapid recharging system, we expect that only three minutes’ recharging will allow the vehicle to drive 100km. For this, Hyundai Motor Group dedicates itself to the R&D efforts to enhance the energy density and improve the high voltage system technology.

All-electric crossover will launch next year with Taycan-rivalling performance model topping the range.

Kia bosses have confirmed that the upcoming EV will have “around 300 miles” of range and offer a “sub-20-minute recharge time.” The crossover’s E-GMP platform will also feature the same 800-volt technology as the Porsche Taycan, and will work with IONITY’s 350kW fast-charging network.

800V charging won’t simply be reserved for Kia’s flagship models.
