Rappare central 17" skärm med nya AP 2.0. ?

Jag har för mig att jag hört att den processor som används i AP1 delar processorkraft med den stora 17" skärmen, eller om det var den skärmen som är bakom ratten, stämmer det? I så fall finns det god chans att den stora 17" skärmen blir rappare, eller har den en helt egen processor?

Föga troligt, men givetvis möjligt...
- det deep learning etc använder är GPU och det lär inte rappa upp GUI:t nämnvärt, tyvärr
... Där är det CPU som är nyckeln.

Det vore väl inte helt otroligt om även hårdvaran för stora skärmen skulle uppdateras.
Det är om jag inte läst fel en Tegra 3 (släppt 2011) så med fem år på nacken kanske det är hög tid för en uppdatering.

GPUn för AP2.0 är helt separerad från övriga funktioner. Det får bara inte hända att autopiloten slutar fungera för att du surfar in på fel site...
Däremot är det troligt att CPUerna för Media Control Unit (MCU) uppgraderas.

Tesla har sedan länge använt sig av Nvidias Tegra CPUer.

We were also able to find out the exact Tegra model present in the new Tesla EVs. Previously, the cars possessed a Tegra 3 processor, but all modern Model Xs and Model S cars will have the Nvidia VCM (Visual Computing Module). NVIDIA has a long-standing relationship with many automakers including Audi, Volkswagen and BMW. These partners are now using the Tegra Visual Computing Module (VCM) for their infotainment systems. The VCM is a highly flexible platform, incorporating an automotive-grade NVIDIA Tegra mobile processor with dedicated audio, video and image processors. Nvidia revealed their VCM module a year or so back and it consists of the Tegra K1 with a grand total of 384 GFlops. To put that into perspective, that is more power than last generation consoles (PS3/Xbox 360).
